Lets get Going SriLanka - Ella Rock
You don't need a guide to hike Ella Rock.
If you are starting your hike from Ella railway station keep walking on the rail tracks towards Kithal Ella Railway station.. When you make it to Kithal Ella Station locals in the area might come to you and say that your going the wrong way DON'T Listen to them you just keep going straight on the rail track until then you will see a path to your left.. this is before 15km Speed sign.
On your hike to the top you will see board signs with directions.. they are long way to the top. Locals have put them up so that you would pass there shops.
Just watch the video and im sure it will help you when your making a hike to Ella Rock.
*I made the climb during the rainy season. There were no leeches
*Wear shoes with good grip as it gets a bit slippery making the climb to the top from the half way viewing point.
*Carry fluids and some snacks
*Total duration of the hike was 3 Hours this is including the time to relax and enjoy the view at the top. I think we were there for 45 mins or more.
