If you're going to Rathna Ella from Colombo. Go to Kandy and then search on google maps for Rathna Ella.. It showed us a short route from Kandy.
After we reached the destination you can ask anyone in the village where the waterfall is and then will guide you to the way. It is quite simple you just need to follow the water trail it will guide you to the fall.
When you are climbing up be careful the rocks are slippery.
