Lets get Going SriLanka - Hantana Hike

We left colombo to kandy.
And took a bus from Kandy to Mahakanda from the bus stand near the clock tower.
We took the Mahakanda bus because we missed the Sarasavigama bus which leaves at 7am. We missed it by 10 mins. And the next bus was leaving at 9am so we took the Mahakanda bus at which left at 7:15.
Kandy to Mahakanda - 28lkr
Reached Mahakanda at 8:10am
We took a Tuk Tuk (3 wheeler) 150lkr for the ride to Sarasavigama.
Reached the Starting point of the hike at 8:14am.
It's a concert road. You keep going up and you will see a village.
There is a short cut to the top so ask someone in the village cause you will cut down 1.5-2km. We missed the short cut on the way back down so it was a really long cut.
We came to a point where we had to make a decision to take left or right. The left path takes us to the pine forest. Based on articles we read by other Hikers that was the right path to take. We spoke to a guy in the village and he told us that the pine forest path is a long cut.
So we took the right path. There was a cut through path made but after while there was no path and we did not want to go back so we kept moving forward making our own path. The goal was to reach the top so we kept moving but our path was not east it was a difficult and challenging. We enjoyed the hike and we reached the top. We got to see what we wanted to... The Cave (Katusu Konda) And we also saw the other two peaks next to it (not sure about what it's called) We decided to go back down but we did not take the same path we did when we came up.
We reached the bottom at 3:40pm
The path we took was not east but it sure was a fast way to go.
We took a tuk from Sarasavigama to Mahakanda as the direct but was not there and it would take a long time for the bus to come.
A bus from Mahakanda left at 4:15 to Kandy
