Germany Knife Attack: Manhunt Begins After 3 People Killed at Festival
A manhunt is underway after three people were killed and at least five people were wounded in a frenzied knife attack at a festival in the western city of Solingen on Friday night. German police have assembled a large number of forces around the area as they ramp up their search for the attacker.
Police were notifed shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Friday night to an unknown attacker having wounded several people with a knife on a central square, the Fronhof, in the heart of the city.
Police said that the attacker was on the run, and that they so far had only very thin information on the assailant.
