Today’s Friday SEO Tip comes from Brandon Ho, one of BSM’s Senior Project Managers. In this video, Brandon delves into a query from a client regarding site links.
The client observed that one of their site links on the SERP led to a non-existent page, despite being redirected. Brandon advised removing the page entirely from the site map to prevent its appearance.
In this video, Brandon also addresses discrepancies in meta titles and descriptions between different searches leading to the same page. Google displays what it believes to be the most relevant metadata for each query.
Brandon explains that while you can influence Google's choices by tweaking metadata, complete control remains elusive. Nevertheless, it's worth optimizing what you can to enhance search visibility.
