"Treasure of the Amazon" is a nutty poor man's Mexican "Indiana Jones" of sorts, leaping like an underpaid extra all painted up as a cannibal native from the fevered mind of the same exploitation writer-director who brought "Night of A 1000 Cats" to the screen. And yes, that latter title is indeed a butchery of the English language. And yes, so was my opening metaphor. Anyhoo, if you like sweaty jungle adventure flicks that mix insane Nazis played by Donald Pleasence, topless female Amazons, headhunters, cheap gore effects, ruthless mercenaries, a serious surplus of over-acting, and flesh eating rainforest cave crabs (hey don't ask me I didn't write the thing) then I am happy to report to you that "Treasure of the Amazon" is your kind of movie. You could do worse. And if you're so inclined to check out some of the other offerings on my channel, probably will.
