Okay, so here's the post opening credits setup to this blissfully cheesy and sadly overlooked 1980 sci-fi/horror flick that's probably best described as a cross between "Predator" (which it predated by the better part of a decade) and that episode of the old original Star Trek TV show where Cap'n Kirk and crew find themselves on a planet decimated by creepy flying blood-sucking parasite thingamajigs. Starring Jack Palance, Tarah Nutter, Christopher S. Nelson, Cameron Mitchell, Larry Storch, Neville Brand, Ralph Meeker and a batshit insane Martin Landau in the batshit insane Martin Landau role. What a fucking cast! The perfect drive-in movie!
