77th JSOC | Operation: "Inconceivable Iguana" (Private) | ARMA 3
Situation:
Operation "Joyful Jay" saw many high-value targets of the Sauromalus Corps taken into custody. This, along with Intel gathered and the capture of Valentina Ordóñez during Operation "Innocent Iguana" has given us credible Intel on the main staging area of the Sauromalus Corps (with possible Russian involvement) on an Island off the coast of Venezuela. Strangely, a disturbance in satellite imagery is stopping us from getting a clear picture of the situation on the Island, much the same as Operation "Clandestine Chameleon", which uncovered an unknown material codenamed 'Periculum Six'. Collecting Intel from all three operations, it is likely that there is some of this material on this Island, with Russians working with the Sauromalus Corps. We can expect a well-defended Island with long-range AA & armor.
With our hearts and minds approach to the Iguana operations, we have managed to gain the confidence of the local population, government and parts of the Venezuela Army. Therefore, we've managed to gain a possible landing site to gain a foothold on this Island, being the SW airport. While we have limited Intel regarding the Island's terrain and areas of military occupation, we have been provided Intel on the SW Airport, which is being held by corrupt Venezuelan Army officials and troops. There is a likelihood of a detachment of Sauromalus Corps at the location.
We will be deploying from the carrier strike group, located nearby the Island. Boats and SDVs are available for the initial assault. We will be deploying under the cover of darkness and a local storm system. We need to take over the airport quietly, taking over the infrastructure and nearby checkpoint. We will be able to reinforce the area with loyal Venezuelan Army soldiers to keep up appearances and give us more time for covert operations on the Island.
If time allows, we should make contact with the locals and try and find more Intel on this Island.
