77th JSOC | Operation: "Blind Death" (Private) | ARMA 3
Situation:
For the past 3 years, Iraq has been a breeding ground for ISIS forces and other Islamic extremist groups. USMC has for 6 months tried to stabilize the area of Al Asad and has gained little headway. ISIS strong points are all over the city and with roads leading in and out to nearby cities and countries it's very easy for ISIS to reinforce the area.
Since US Marines have entered Al Asad it has been an uphill battle. ISIS are strong-willed and determined to hold as much land as they can. The US has suffered 100s of casualties from this area alone and that number is painfully growing.
12 hours ago 4 squads of US Marines accompanied by 2 teams of NAVY Seals went out to target ISIS hot spots looking for intel, IED factories, ISIS leaders and anything else they can find. Most of the Marines were ambushed on the way and evacuated via helicopter but a few squads were able to get to their destinations.
Upon arriving at their objectives they were immediately overwhelmed with ISIS firepower and were either killed or forced to bunker down and hold their position.
Due to ROE in the area, most CAS was denied and the use of explosives in towns. Two hours ago Col. Michael P. Post issued a Delta squad that would be moving into the area to rescue the Marines and NAVY Seals fire teams also ROE has been dropped due to civilians in the area having been evacuated and the ongoing threat to US lives for countless months.
Mission Briefing:
Col. Michael P. Post has called upon the 77th JSOC Delta squads to perform a rescue operation on NAVY Seals and US Marines they are currently stuck at key locations around the AO.
The ROE for the operation has been dropped which means explosives' and the use of CAS has been approved
You will be convoyed or transported via SOAR to objectives to infiltrate key ISIS locations, search for any intel(if there is any) and rescue all US Marines and NAVY Seal Teams.
ISIS seems to be a large formidable force in this area and going off CIA intel they have access to T-90 tanks which means that Russia is also involved in this situation.
All vehicles and air vehicles will be provided by the Marines which means you have an assortment of MRAPs, Humvees, trucks, Helicopters and Air support.
IEDs will be a threat but most roads should be clear. The anti-air should be very minimal Marines don't have problems with friendly helicopters. The enemy is expected to be using Russian equipment such as t-90 and BMPs but also T-55 have been spotted in the AO. ISIS forces are reinforcing every day from outside cities so expect reinforcements through the operation.
