Situation:
Taliban forces in Iraq have been ramping up attacks against US soldiers and CIA officials. Several convoys of US Marines have been a big target for ambush attacks as well as CIA safe houses and offices near the green zone of Farabad.
The CIA has decided to ramp up the production by finding Taliban forces and putting a stop to the attacks. just a few days ago Marines and US special forces groups landed at Farabad airport in an attempt to push back the Taliban and hope to defeat the war on terror.
CIA has called upon the 77th JSOC to assist the Marines in locating and destroying Taliban safe houses and eliminating key Taliban personnel.
Marines and special forces will be clearing out key locations and known Taliban hot spots around Farabad. Search houses and seize anything related to Taliban or insurgent forces that pose a threat to the United States.
Strict CIA and USMC ROE:
Civilians will be largely present in the AO and must NOT be harmed in any way
Destruction to civilian property will be prohibited
Anyone brandishing a weapon is a threat and can be eliminated or captured
Civilian causality must be 0
Do not engage anyone who has surrendered or is out of battle due to sickness or wounds
Hospitals, mosques and historical and cultural sites are a NO FIRE zone(Unless in self-defense)
Any form of Explosives on Civilian property is prohibited(i.e C4, Grenades, GLs, Claymores, etc)
Mission Briefing:
77th JSOC is here to conduct searches and raids on key locations around Farabad to capture and seize any and all intel regarding Taliban forces and associates. We are here to clear the Taliban from the region, find any intel on other unknown locations and points of interest, capture any Taliban forces who have surrendered, find intel on high-ranking Taliban officers, find any other usable intel regarding Taliban and insurgency operations in the area.
We have a strict ROE to follow and it must be followed otherwise the CIA will be involved as well as the military police. Any incidents of a break in ROE must be reported to HQ or MP immediately. The location we are moving into is hostile. Taliban forces are well known around the area so expect counterattacks, IEDs, mines, and ambush sites.
Marked locations are expected Taliban houses or safe houses that could or could not hold intel for future operations. The CIA are running the operation and all intel can be relayed to HQ to give to the CIA.
SOAR will be on station to assist us with transport around the AO for quick inserts and exfils.
