Bioreactors are complex, and their optimal operation, design and scale-up is challenging. CFD with integrated biokinetics is the most powerful framework for process maximisation. It accurately calculates the local concentrations (e.g. dissolved oxygen, ammonia, ...). The process can then be changed virtually to optimise the operation and design across scales.
