Free up hard drive space on windows 7 Vista, XP, 8.1

Here is a simple tip to free up hard drive space on windows 7, windows vista,windows XP and windows 8.1 and all the windows versions in general

You may not realize it but temporary files are really piling up on your PC taking up precious hard drive space up to various GBs.

Go to the windows search bar and type
%temp%

Click on the temp folder and this will bring the temporary files folder on your PC. It's easy to check that it could take up several GBs of hard drive space.

Hit Ctrl + A to select all the files in the temp folder and either click the Delete key on your keyboard or right click and select delete.

This will delete all the temporary files stored on your PC. Once you are done empty your PC's recycle folder and you will be able to free up precious HD space on your windows PC.

Keep in mind that you may not be able to delete certain files because they are used by other programs.
