Remove the Phytates from Nuts
Nuts contain phytates which inhibit the uptake of zinc but soaking and drying them removes the phytates and makes them more digestible. We show a video from a while back where we explain the issue and show how to soak and dry them. We also show our most recent batch of nuts.
Speaking of nuts, we decided to gather so of the walnuts under one of our trees and feed them to our pigs to help finish them.
Today we started the weaning process for Brisket who is eight months old in two days. SO far so good.
