Note: As you hunt Afflicted monsters and gather Afflicted materials (noted by the red lights near harvest points), your Anomaly Research rank will increase as well on that type of monster. Anomaly Investigation Quests will also be gained this way, similar to how World manages its own investigations.
Also, once at Master Rank 20, the next wall comes in the form of Wind Serpent Ibushi...the Breath of Ire makes its return.
