PESTO RECIPE - red and green
Two Pesto recipes for perfect homemade pesto. Green basil based pesto and red tomato based pesto. Enjoy with it with pasta or use it to flavour other meals.
Green pesto:
2 cups of fresh basil
2-3 garlic cloves
40g parmesan cheese
30g pine nuts
100ml olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2tsp black pepper
1tsp sugar
Red pesto:
150g dried tomatoes
1 tbsp tomatoes paste
10 basil leaves
160ml olive oil
15ml balsamic vinegar
2 garlic cloves
15g pine nuts
15g almonds
50g parmesan cheese
1 chili pepper (not too hot)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
