Aerotropolis! Near Shanghai Hongqiao airport.
The area is a national development, a bit larger than your regular sprawl and with better planning like a Shanghai 2.0. At it's center is Shanghai's regional airport, not much smaller or less busy than Pudong airport. Also there is the high speed rail station from where you go to Beijing in five hours and soon all the way to Hong Kong as well. Often it's faster than the plane if you count the airspace congestion delays. From here people commute to Suzhou in 25 minutes. Of course it's called Hongqiao CBD. Two subway lines come here, soon a third will cross and connect the city with the lake district further west. Interesting place to live!
