How Excel Stores and Formats Dates
During the past 2 weeks, I received at least 25 questions from my viewers concerning problems they were experiencing while working with Dates in Excel.
With this in mind, I created this tutorial to answer as many of these common questions as I can. In my opinion - and from my experience - a high percentage of Excel users do not completely understand how Dates and Times are stored in Excel.
By the end of this tutorial, you should have a firm understanding of how to enter Dates so that they are stored correctly. Then, you can use the techniques that I demonstrate to format the Dates to suit your needs and your regional preferences.
