Cocteau Twins - Speak No Evil - 1982 - (Lyrics - Remastered - 4AD)
I got some welcomed help from the other CT fans who figured out a nice bit of this but as i worked through the few difficult lines, I am thinking that this is a song about werewolves. Perhaps Elizabeth was a fan of the film An American Werewolf in London, which was very big in 1981? Or the film The Howling, also from 81. At any rate, it's a great, dark, brooding piece and quite different from their other songs from this era. Sounds a bit like one of the very earliest of songs by them both musically and lyrically. What do you all think?
