In this video, we see 3 ways to print from DOS to a text file with Printfil, with or without user intervention.
1st method - Print preview (full user intervention):
Print from DOS to LPT1:
Printfil captures the print job
Click the "Create TXT" icon in print preview
Here is your text file
2nd method - FILE: printer (limited user intervention):
Now disable "Preview" and choose the "FILE:" printer
Print from DOS again
This time you're asked only for the file name
3rd method - Archiving (no user intervention):
Now enable the Archiving path
It's shown near "FILE:"
Look at the folder
Now DOS print jobs are saved as TXT without user intervention
