Printfil allows DOS and Windows-Console programs installed on Windows Terminal Servers, printing to local and remote Windows printers, even if they aren't DOS compatible (like Windows-Only/GDI USB printers, or virtual printers).
In this video, we see how to install Printfil on Windows Terminal Servers (WTS) and how to make different RDP users capturing the same LPT port or COM port to redirect the print jobs to the preferred Windows printer (local or remote), keeping their prints separated from the other users.
Let's go:
Login the WTS as Administrator
Install Printfil
Guided configuration starts automatically
Capture the LPT1 port
Close the RDP Client
Now let's try printing:
Login the WTS as a standard user
Printfil starts automatically
Print from a DOS program to LPT1:
Optional print preview
Print to local and remote printers
