Using Foreign Character Sets with ITX and Databases
To correctly ‘validate and map’ foreign character sets (encoded in UTF-8 for example) it is important to generate the Typetree with the appropriate options:
Database Interface Designer
Set the Data Language property during import.
For Native and ODBC Typetree generation
Design Server
No options to set
For JDBC Typetree generation
