Using ITX to generate a v4 UUID
In this practical demonstration, I use the ITX function:
=resourcelib-GETITXUID()
…and then modify its result to get a string that is visually compatible with the v4 specification.
xxxxxxxx-xxxx-4xxx-Rxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
(where R is a random choice between ‘a’, ‘b’, ‘8’ and ‘9’.)
