Replacing the JRE included with ITX
In some instances, it may be necessary to replace the Java Runtime Engine (JRE) included with IBM Transformation Extender (ITX).
Reasons for this may include:
To resolve a known bug
To mitigate a reported vulnerability
To gain additional functionality
To ensure compatibility with other software
In this video I will demonstrate how to accomplish the upgrade on both the Windows and Linux platforms using both real and softlinked JRE drop-ins.
