Video Transcript: Speaker 1: Adding the ability for your distributors to log in to their back office using their Facebook credentials allows them to use a familiar user name and password. You must first do a little technical work to enable this feature. Log in to your company's Facebook account. Once you are logged in, change the URL to developers.Facebook.com. This will bring you to the developer portal for Facebook. Under the My Apps menu select Add a New App and choose website. Enter a name for this new app. Market Power Pro log in for example and click the create new app button. From the category drop down select business and click create app ID. If your Facebook account has not already been verified it will be necessary for you to do so before proceeding.
Once your Facebook account has been verified the create new app button will respond by displaying this page. Click skip quick start, choose your new app from the My Apps menu then click settings. Click save changes to ensure your new app information is properly saved. Click add platform and choose website. Enter your Market Power Pro site URL for website. Enter the same URL under app domains. Finally, enter your contact e-mail address. Click save changes to commit this information. From the site menu click status and reviews. Activate your app by turning it on and confirming the dialogue. Now go back to the settings page.
You need to copy two pieces of information from this page into your Market Power Pro system. An easy way is to copy the information into Notepad, then transfer it from there. Copy the app ID then copy the app secret. Log into your Market Power Pro system as an administrator and select site settings from the website menu. At the bottom of this page are the two fields you need to copy the app ID and app secret into. Copy and paste the app ID, then copy and paste the app secret. Click save to confirm your settings. Your distributors may now log into their back office and under the my account menu select My Profile and enter their Facebook user name into the appropriate field. They will now be able to log into their back office with their Facebook credentials.
