I have been using the Aquaquest Safari for 2 years now and comparing the 2 the defender has the durability but not so much the packabikity. Tarps camping is definitely my go-to when I'm not hammocking. We did some fishing with no luck, cooked up porkchops and potatoes on the campfire, and had a blast in the British Columbia mountains.
