Me and Jeremy tackled the twin lakes trail in the monashee mountians. Although it was unforgettable and Jeremy's first back country trip it was almost dangerously snow-covered. Unexpected winter conditions lead to a memorable experience, to say the least. This hike will not soon be forgotten. Started out with patches of snow, but as we gained elevation, those patches turned into a winter wonderland with 4 or 5 feet in depth in some places. Made it slow going while hiking up into camp, but we conquered what the mountain threw at us. Some bare ground at camp gave us a perfect spot to set up our tents with an unbeatable view of the second lake. We kept our packs light for this one, taking only the essential backpacking and hiking gear needed.
