Heath Andrew Ledger was born in Australia in 1979.
Considered as one of the new promising actor of American cinema, Ledger has tied his beauty with the his talented of actor.
First acting role was as "Peter Pan", at age 10, in a local theater company.
He debuted in film in 1997 in a low-budget project "Blackrock".
In these years he worked in television and participates in other films including "Paws".
At the end of the 90s, Heath Ledger starts groped to work in the United States but still without success. The Australian director Gregor Jordan has offered him a role in "Two Hands". The film unfortunately was suspended and this allowed Ledger to participate in the movie "10 things i hate about you".
In 2000 he made his debut in American cinema in "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson.
Finally in 2005 after several roles, Ledger achieved success in "Brokeback Mountain". The love story between two young cowboys, allowed Ledger to get his first nomination as Best Actor in a Leading Role and a BAFTA.
After, his career continued with excellent results thanks to roles as "Casanova" Joker in "The Dark Knight" and Tony in "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
But unfortunately, Heath wasn't able to enjoy his triumphs due to of premature death in New York in 2008. In 2009 he received a posthumously Academy Award as Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in "The Dark Knight".
Chosen by Empire Magazine as one of the 100 Sexiest Movie Stars in the world (#79) 2007.
