The Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) is a mission-driven non-profit organization that helps equip Latinos and people from other underserved communities with the skills and financial tools to forge better futures for their families and communities. Serving DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Puerto Rico, LEDC’s programs help participants learn how to secure long-term financial security.
Like a lot of organizations, LEDC was forced to close its office in March 2020 and move to a virtual work environment. Transitioning from a traditional workplace to a remote workplace during a pandemic interrupted LEDC’s operations. The organization was pushed into reactive mode, leveraging programs that weren’t well-integrated for an optimized experience.
In May 2020, LEDC partnered with FSi to migrate their systems to Microsoft in order to adopt a fully integrated approach to Modern Work while accelerating productivity and maintaining security compliance.
FSi implemented a comprehensive solution, helping LEDC adopt the Microsoft Cloud with Entra ID, a comprehensive intranet, and a robust cybersecurity strategy to protect their devices, identities, and data. FSi also partnered with LEDC for managed services, providing industry-leading support.
What started as a challenge presented by an uncontrollable event led to a new way to work. LEDC currently leverages a hybrid work model that fluidly utilizes the Microsoft Cloud with M365 applications including Teams. The organization also has a strategic approach to IT with a roadmap that helps them keep their IT and infrastructure up to date.
