Founded in 1983, Union Station Redevelopment Corporation (USRC) is a nonprofit organization charged with preserving and restoring Union Station in Washington, D.C., maintaining its function as a major transportation hub, and enhancing its amenities.
When the organization needed a solution to modernize their operation, they turned to FSi Strategies. FSi established a partnership with USRC that provided a strategic roadmap to build a modern workplace, enable a remote workforce, and implement a strategic plan, all while maintaining business continuity and avoiding operational disruptions.
Over the course of five years, FSi helped USRC leverage the power of Microsoft in order to build an infrastructure that was fit for the modern workplace. This began with migration to the Microsoft Cloud, implementing Microsoft 365, moving on premise servers to Microsoft Azure, and setting up OneDrive for all users. Afterwards, FSi enabled a multifactor authentication setup for users and implemented Microsoft Teams Training for USRC staff who worked remotely.
FSi delivered a comprehensive technology plan that leveraged cloud-based services, and as a result, when the world was struck by a global health crisis, USRC was already prepared to immediately implement a remote work policy.
