Hi everyone and welcome back today I want to talk about the Captura mode in Warframe and just quickly explain what it is and how it works.
Captura mode is a feature that lets you take and edit pictures of your Warframe, some locations, and enemies in game. You know those cool 3d images that they have in the login screen? You can make those now.
To access Captura mode, go to your armory, select your Warframe, and then chose the appearance option. In the lower right-hand corner of the screen, you will see the Captura option. Just select it and start creating your perfect scene!
There are some simple functions that you can use here.
To enter free camera mode and actually take the pictures, press C
You can open your advanced settings by then pressing X. These advanced settings let you do things like adjust the depth of view, adjust the grain (the staticky stuff), change backdrops, and even spawn enemies.
There is an instructional panel in the lower right-hand side of the screen. You can toggle it on and off by pressing L. You won’t see it if you leave it on while taking your shot.
To take the shot, you press the F6 key.
You can also move time forward in the free camera mode by press the T key.
In order to add enemies to your shots, you need to have scanned them in-game first. You do this with your scanner tool. Once scanned, you can you can include them in your shots in the advanced setting tab. There are a LOT of enemies that you can add to your shots, to be prepared to scan everything.
A couple of quick tips:
Whatever key you’re holding down when entering free camera mode will remain pressed. So, if you hold down the shoot or melee key, your Warframe will continue performing that action if you move forward in time with the T key.
If your subject is out of focus, adjust your DOV settings. Distance controls how far away to focus while depth controls how much to focus.
The size of the image seems to be based on the resolution that you’re playing on. I’ve playing at 1080, so that’s how big my screenshots are coming out.
You won’t run out of ammo or energy while in this mode, so if you want to make your shots more dramatic, try throwing up a skill or two before hand
Now, I love these things, but I only have two Warframes and I want to see more! So, what I want you to do is to mess around in Captura mode for a while and then upload those images to Instagram, Pinterest, Photobucket or whatever and then leave a link to the image here in the comments. I’ll take my favorite ones and put together a slide show for another video. Until then, I’ll leave you with some of my favorites from my Nezha Warframe.
