Contigo en la distancia, es una composición de 1947 del guitarrista y compositor cubano César Portillo de la Luz (Ciudad de La Habana, 31 de octubre de 1922). Su vasta y conocida obra como autor ha enriquecido el patrimonio de la canción cubana con canciones como "Contigo en la distancia" , "Tú, mi delirio" (ambas canciones cuentan con más de 100 versiones), "Noche cubana", o "Realidad y Fantasía". Fue uno de los más importantes iniciadores del Filin, una manera particular de interpretación del bolero fuertemente influenciada armónicamente por el Jazz.
Contigo en la distancia, is a 1947 composition of Cuban guitarist and composer Cesar Portillo de la Luz (City of Havana, October 31, 1922). His vast and well-known work as an author has enriched the heritage of Cuban music with songs like " Contigo en la distancia," " Tú, mi delirio " (both songs have more than 100 versions), " Noche cubana " or " Realidad y Fantasía ". He was one of the most important initiators of Filin, a particular way of interpretation of the bolero strongly influenced by jazz harmony.
