We're back at Strasburg again for more railfanning. This time we catch Norfolk & Western #475 crossing over Strasburg's one and only bridge on the entire line. This bridge is located about a quarter mile East of Carpenters' Crossing and back a small lane off Black Horse Road. About a tenth of a mile back a small field road is the bridge.
When the video starts, #475 is returning from Paradise on her way back to East Strasburg. She crosses over the bridge with a tourist train heading west towards Groff's Picnic Grove. From there she will drop off and pick up passengers before starting on her way back towards East Strasburg. Strasburg #1 (Thomas) is also still running on the line, but is currently waiting at East Strasburg station until #475 arrives back.
I do want to make a note here for anyone who wants to check out this location for themselves. This bridge is located back a private drive on someones property, which is not owned by the railroad. That being said, I strongly advise, just out of common courtesy, to get permission from the property owner before going back here. I always do this before attempting to railfan on someone else's property, and in most cases people will say yes.
