How NOT to Get a Speeding Ticket with a Radar Detector (not Recommended)
We take a quick exit off of a highway just to be safe as we saw flashing lights way behind us.
We can't say for sure they were coming for us, but after that last experience in North Carolina, we didn't want to leave anything to chance by hanging out in the right lane on the highway and finding out.
Fortunately for us, there was an exit right ahead, which made it easy to get off of the highway quickly.
If there wasn't a nearby exit, all bets would have been off and we would have had to wait to see if those lights were for us or for entirely something else.
Since the Cobra RAD 700i did not alert and we didn't pass by any patrol vehicles in motion or stationery, if it was for us and if our speed had been clocked, it would have been likely done with lidar in the rear.
There we several other vehicles by us running at similar speeds.
Fortunately for us, when we got back on the highway after a pit stop, all was well.
If we knew with certainty those lights had been coming for us, we would have pulled off and taken our licks as we have done other times when tagged.
