STEPS:
1) Open the file manager.
2) Click on Computer in the Devices section
3) Double click to open usr folder
4) Double click to open share folder
5) Double click to open applications folder
6) Right click on the application that you want to create desktop shortcut for.
7) Click copy
8) Right click on desktop
9) Click paste
That's it, you have created a working desktop shortcut for the application!
