Angle Shades Moth in Skegness
We stumbled upon a lovely little moth on the pavement, didn't know it's name at the time, but three long hours later on Google (I'm joking, it was 6 hours :-)) and we now know it's an angle shades moth (Phlogophora meticulosa): who names these things!!!
I'm going to rename it "The Angry Pink V" moth :-)
Look at it from above and it looks a little on the angry side and the "eyes" markings are a pink v.
Marie saved the Angle Shades Moth (AKA: The Angry Pink V moth) from certain doom, she moved it onto the base of a tree.
We saved a lepidoptera :-)
