Ohhhh boy this stage...if the name is not a warning then let me assure you that this stage certainly turned up the heat to the max haha. This level has some pretty nasty and hard parts but I wouldn't call it unfair, though that is my experience speaking.
The main gimmick of this stage is a creative one, having moving lava is a great idea, however this has a bit of a major flaw that I experience near the end of the stage, the last room before the boss has an ABUNDANCE of this moving lava which results in my game hardcore lagging...my PC simply isn't beefy enough to be able to put up with this monster.
I may have experienced a little bit of lag in the other rooms but its by far the worst in the final room as I was genuinely playing at 15fps at best... My game felt so heavy as I tried to push on...
The flashbang gimmick in this stage is novel and I don't hate it as some of the judges did, at first its controlled since defeating tackle fires means they essentially explode and cover everything in the room in full orange besides yourself, supposedly the original level had a flashing white effect which I totally understand why that could be harmful.
The reason this gimmick is disliked is because the latter rooms force this gimmick on the player, the tackle fires are no longer controlled by the player as they are always destroyed immediately after spawning since their generator is placed by fire. That alone is potentially eye straining but then the difficulty takes it up a notch.
We mix two gimmicks to create a super unique challenge, a sheep block maze plus the flashbang effect is honestly so cool and I like it...yes I really like this concept, I may have died a few times learning the patterns but once you know them, it feels super satisfying to pull them off.
The boss of this stage is sadly not a highlight as they are invincible for FAR too long of the fight AND they have two health bars...the second half is a bit more complex as the boss splits itself in two however the same issues apply. The boss is simply invincible for far too long of the battle and if not that, then out of reach, using Spark Chaser during the explosion attack at least speeds up the battle by a tremendous amount.
Overall, this is a difficult stage and can cause motion-sickness so be advised if you choose to play it, I don't suffer from any of that so I can play the stage fine and I honestly enjoy it, this is a hard level but its not unfair, even the flashbang gimmick combined with the think fast sheep block puzzles is intelligent if annoying at first.
This stage has left a good impression, some will hate it but I'm on the opposite spectrum since I genuinely enjoyed the ideas that were present here and I like this stage, this is not a bad stage but I can see why people would suffer from it.
