I purchased a camper van last month, and finally took it on its first trip yesterday. I went to a familiar city, South Haven, where I've photographed before. Photographing South Haven is a nice initial trip, as it doesn't require traveling a long distance. I had one specific subject in mind: the lighthouse. But, the beach ended up being packed and I wanted to avoid the crowds due to covid. So, I found a hill with a bit of foliage that I thought would be great for framing purposes. While there, I took hundreds of shots: some for sky replacements, some for panoramas, and some normal landscapes. Ultimately, it ended up being a great decision to take the camper van to photograph South Haven.
In this video, I tell the story of that trip--and touch a bit on the history of South Haven.
