Starting from January 1st 2016, Slovenia has introduced fiscalization based on the Croatian model, with some minor adaptations and changes.
Main characteristic of the fiscalization type in Slovenia, the so called online fiscalization, is real-time reporting of fiscal transaction via internet to tax authorities.
There are no mandatory hardware devices that have to be used and there is no certification process for POS applications.
It is only mandatory to support certificates for signing fiscal transactions and communication with Tax Authority via internet.
Concept is technologically open and not limited by the proprietary solution of any manufacturer.
