Turkey, officially the Republic of Turkey is a transcontinental country located mainly in Western Asia, with a smaller portion in Southeast Europe. Istanbul is the largest city in the country while Ankara is the capital.
Process of replacement of old fiscal cash registers and fiscal printers started at the beginning of 2012.
Since January 1st 2017, usage of New generation of cash registers is mandatory.
They are computer-based and have the ability to communicate with Information Systems of tax administration via the Internet.
There are two types of new generation devices: with and without EFT-POS embedded.
POS application has to be approved by an authorized New generation cash register manufacturer before usage.
Concept is technologically open and not limited by the proprietary solution of any manufacturer.
