Vocalist Tyreek McDole is going to be a force to be reckoned with. The winner of the 2023 Sarah Vaughn Vocal Competition, the second male to win. McDole was one of the five finalists from applicants representing 37 countries. The Florida native debuted at Jazz at Lincoln Center's 2018 Essentially Ellington National Competition. This past Spring Tyreek graduated from The Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
In 2025 Tyreek will release his debut album produced by the legendary Brian Baccaus. In this edition of The Pace Report, you'll see highlights of Tyreek's performance at the 2024 Charlie Parker Jazz Festival in Harlem, he discusses his musical influences and his vision of the music.
