Hi and welcome to Mastery Muse! This video will explain why investing in your skills is your best strategy to survive and thrive in this fast changing world.
The world is changing faster than ever. We used to call it VUCA but VUCA is outdated, BANI is the new acronym.
The BANI world is an acronym made up of the words 'brittle', 'anxious', 'nonlinear' and 'incomprehensible'. The creator of this new concept is Jamais Cascio, American anthropologist, author and futurist.
In such a world, learning is extremely important. We all need to reinvent and improve ourselves regularly.
Unfortunately, many adults do not know in what direction they want to develop. Once they decide on the direction, they do not know how to learn best.
This is where Mastery Muse comes in. I started this channel to help adults develop their skills and find their own way in this fast-changing, unpredictable world. I'm an adult learning specialist, an instructional designer, and a coach (ICF ACTP, individual and team coaching). This channel is my hobby project, next to my full-time job as an e-learning designer and educational speaker.
Mastery Muse is a one-stop shop for everything you need to learn and achieve success in the BANI world. From lifelong learning to metalearning to adult learning and coaching tools, I will share everything you need to get ahead in the BANI world.
My vision is to see the world where each adult is equipped and empowered to develop in the direction of their choice, and knows how to do it best. Seeing how many of us are at lost, and succumb to anxiety and depression, or have no idea what to learn and how, breaks my heart.
