On February 11, 2024, NASA's Ingenuity Mars Helicopter captured this footage with its black-and-white navigation camera, showing the shadows of its rotor blades rotating. Engineers prepared the footage to learn more about the damage to the rotor blades caused by a harsh landing during the helicopter's 72nd flight on January 18, 2024.
This video demonstrates that Ingenuity's top rotor, which is the first rotor seen, is missing a rotor blade. The blade seems to have detached near the mast.
