The first time I listened to that song, Daniel immediately came to mind and with him, this drawing. I've had this exact drawing in my mind for months but I never had a chance to sit down and paint it. When September rolled around I didn't want to keep waiting and I made the time.
It had been four long years since that day. Four years full of ups and downs, many tears and memories. Though Daniel was gone, he watched over all of his friends with the same care as ever. That day Markiplier returned to the same spot he visited every year to spend it with his friend. It always rained there, as if the sky was equally sad and couldn't hide it. Mark often felt that way too. But something was different this year. Something that hadn't happened in the years before...
Dozens of wild, white flowers had bloomed over Daniel's resting place. No other flowers could be seen in the area. Only there. Only those. But they seemed brighter and more alive than any flowers Mark had ever seen. Growing fiercely, as if protecting something truly valuable.
And, in many ways, they were. Mark felt a surge of gratitude and love overcome him. He wondered if this was Daniel's way of saying he was alright and watching over him... And, deep down, he knew he was.
