How to Disable Comments on YouTube
Want to know how to disable comments on YouTube? Note, you can disable comments for a separate video or for all new videos and the homepage of your channel (disabling comments by default).
📌 Also, the viewers will see "Comments are disabled for this video" if you set your channel or video as "made for kids" content. In this case comments are disabled automatically.
📌 Here's how to disable comments on your new videos and under Discussion tab by default:
1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
2. From the dashboard menu, select SETTINGS.
3. Click COMMUNITY DEFAULTS.
4. If you have the Community tab:
Choose your default settings under “COMMENTS ON YOUR CHANNEL”.
5. If you don’t have the Community tab:
Under “COMMENTS ON YOUR NEW VIDEOS” choose your default setting for new uploads . Under “COMMENTS ON YOUR DISCUSSION TAB” select your default setting for new comments on the Discussion tab.
6. Select SAVE.

2. From the left menu, select CONTENT.
3. Click a video’s thumbnail.
4. Select the SHOWE MORE options tab.
5. Under “COMMENTS AND RATINGS", choose your comment settings.
