Control the geometry using an equation! In our case, we will be using blender geometry nodes to make a "monkey saddle" out of a grid.

Suzanne being the #b3d mascot it was only fitting that we choose something thematical for the occasion of our first practical tutorial on using math for procedural modeling, or rather controlling geometry. Simply by tweaking a couple of parameters you will see that you can not just do a picture for a goofy science project, but also animate the result in an extremely primitive motion graphics style.
