Climate tech’s share of private market equity and grant investment broke 10% in 2023, signalling a greater appreciation amongst investors for the future value of climate tech companies. Capital will be critical for climate tech companies to get to scale, given the high capital expenditure costs involved in expanding infrastructure and production capacity.
What will be needed to enable the scale up of companies at the frontier of climate innovation? How can we explore carbon finance as a lever to support the adoption of nascent technologies and lower the green premium?
