Carbon Finance for a Just Transition in SEA: Is it Truly Achievable? | GCS 2024 | 16 Apr
The world is facing a multitude of challenges concurrently: accelerated climate change is exerting stress on the urgent need for adaptation, at the same time while increased mitigation is required to alter our emissions trajectory before it’s too late, the Global South also faces a delicate juggling act of prioritising between economic growth and sustainable green development.
Bringing these diverse challenges onto a common pathway in which no one is left behind, will require the reconciliation of complex issues ranging from understanding financial and economic realities to managing sensitive social impact. This panel aims to navigate the road to a just transition, identifying key signposts that will be critical to an inclusive and equitable outcome for all.
