“KINGDOM DYNAMICS” (05-27-21) Guest: Pastor Mike Popovich
Tonight’s discussion was on the question, “WHAT IS PRAYER FROM A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE?”
● What is prayer to you? To some, it is trying at the top of their lungs pleading with God to give you what you think you desire. But know this; as the creation of the Father, you deserve everything that Father has created. Why? Because He created all things for you to enjoy.
● John 16:24 (NKJV) says, “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”
● First of all, “Prayer is simply communication between two people in love.” Can you imagine that as Jesus is instructing those around Him, that the end result of Father’s heart was revealed here? Jesus was saying that what you desire from what you see in all that I AM, decree it as if I AM is decreeing a thing, and it shall or it exists so that your joy will be fulfilled so that you will never be overwhelmed by life again.
● John 16:24 (TPT) says, “Until now you’ve not been bold enough to ask the Father for a single thing in my name, but now you can ask, and keep on asking him! And you can be sure that you’ll receive what you ask for, and your joy will have no limits!”
● To know the joy of the Lord within is to be joyful and complete in all things within the character and nature of my Father.
● So, prayer is not begging God to do what He has already done or created from before time began. It is confidently speaking to Father from out of supernatural love that is eternal, even as we are constantly in relationship or communication with Him. What I mean is that this “eternal contact” is never disconnected from God.
● 1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV) “14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”
● Relationship with Father is similar to what it would be like to be in someone’s face. But even more so, can you imagine what it would be like to have the same face? After all, you have the same mind. You have the same character. To be face-to-face with Father in eternal conversation is the same as “in” or pros {pddrŏs} or toward Him. The preposition pros means towards, or face to face.
● Just as the parts of your physical body communicates with the other parts as one, the same is true pertaining to being One with God which displays the truth of who you are. Therefore, any form of communication that you call “prayer” should not be from a knowing that you are face-into-face with God.
● That is why prayer can simply be you making declarations as One being, from out of your Father. I hope you are enlightened and inspired to “dig deep into the well of Father’s mind within” as you watch this video lesson!
