Biografía Fue una actriz estadounidense. Famosa mundialmente por la interpretación del personaje Morticia Addams en la serie The Addams Family.
Carolyn comenzó su carrera cinematográfica en la década de 1950, ya a finales de esta había logrado el reconocimiento con una candidatura al Oscar a la mejor actriz de reparto por The Bachelor Party (1957) y un Globo de Oro como una de las actrices prometedoras de 1959.
Su carrera cinematográfica continuó durante algunos años, y en 1964 empezó a interpretar el papel de Morticia Addams en la serie de televisión The Addams Family (La Familia Addams), recibiendo una nominación al Golden Globe Award por su trabajo.
Cuando Carolyn tenía tres años su padre abandonó a su esposa y a sus dos hijos. Desde pequeña se vio afectada por el asma, pero siempre supo que quería ser actriz.

Was an American actress. Famous worldwide for her portrayal of the character Morticia Addams in the series The Addams Family.
Carolyn began her film career in the 1950s, by the end of this she had achieved recognition with an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress for The Bachelor Party (1957) and a Golden Globe as one of the promising actresses of 1959. Her film career continued for a few years, and in 1964 she began playing the role of Morticia Addams on the television series The Addams Family, receiving a Golden Globe Award nomination for her work.
When Carolyn was three years old, her father abandoned his wife and two children. Since she was little, she was affected by asthma, but she always knew that she wanted to be an actress. In the 1940s she was accepted into an acting school in Pasadena.
Later, during the 1950s Carolyn participated in several films alongside actors such as Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, among others.
Later her career began to decline, although she had some special appearances in other television series, among which the miniseries Raíces in 1977 and Wonder Woman in 1975 in which she assumed the role of Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons, stands out.
