An optional, but useful tool are the BorisFX Continuum - VR Units. We use these plugins often for inserting graphics, rotating the 360 sphere and 360 blur effects. With support for mono and stereo workflows, we end up using this plugin on most of our projects.
While its completely possible to add in graphics into a 360 video and rotate 360 video by just using free plugins we find that these plugins save us time over the long term.
